Blue Cap Phonathon Nears

Help Blue Cap “Hulah in the Moolah” in 2007

Volunteers will soon call thousands of Blue Cap supporters over three nights, March 5-7, during the 12th Blue Cap Phonathon. Once again Modern Drop Forge in Blue Island graciously offered the use of their building for the event, and this year volunteers will work to “Hulah in the Moolah” according to the theme and meet the $35,000 goal.

“I volunteer every year because it’s a great chance to see friends, and I enjoy giving back to such a wonderful organization like Blue Cap,” said Jessia Mitchell, Blue Cap supporter.

Over the course of the three evenings, about 90 volunteers will call more than 2,500 previous donors. The volunteers who participate will not only cover the phones but also record pledges, fill out pledge forms, stuff envelopes, prepare completed pledge forms for mailing and help motivate the callers. Volunteers will also enjoy a delicious catered meal every evening and enter to win terrific prizes through a raffle.
