The Side-by-Side Coalition has held public events and worked closely with Chicago-based media firm Public Communications, Inc., to raise public awareness about the organization and the issues facing individuals with developmental disabilities.
To date, Side-by-Side and PCI have reached a potential market of over 2,000,000 people throughout Chicago and the metro communities. Side-by-Side has also created literature, displayed agency names and staged pre-game and halftime activities at major sporting events to increase awareness of its issue. Both Side-by-Side and PCI have received awards for their work in raising awareness about issues facing people with developmental disabilities.
